CFH Legacy Campus

A National Sanctuary for the Next Generation

The 82-acre Retreat and STEAM Campus of Children of Fallen Heroes located in Vass, North Carolina near Fort Bragg and Pinehurst.

Established Impact. Permanent Foundation.

Since 2015, Children of Fallen Heroes has served more than 15,000 youth and families. The Legacy Campus is being developed as a permanent destination where young people build resilience, leadership, and innovation through hands-on programs in STEAM, aviation, athletics, and outdoor learning.

Located on 82 acres in Vass, North Carolina, the campus supports children of fallen military personnel, special operators, first responders, foster youth, caregivers, and students attending Title One schools while also serving the surrounding community.

STEAM Innovation

STEAM Innovation is a core Children of Fallen Heroes program focused on robotics, engineering, aerospace learning, and hands-on technology education. The program provides training opportunities for CFH youth teams and supports innovation through robotics, science, and engineering challenges.

Programs connected to CFH initiatives include teams such as the Galactic Space Llamas, who advanced to the FIRST World Championship in Houston.

Aviation Leadership

The Legacy Campus serves as the aviation leadership hub for Children of Fallen Heroes programs. It supports the CFH Parachute Team, recipient of the 2023 ICAS Pinnacle Platinum Performer of the Year, along with aviation mentorship and bodyflight training programs.

CFH NEXT GEN Dynamic athletes Emma and Gabriel are two-time United States National Gold Champions in indoor skydiving and earned Silver at the World Championships in Belgium. Their achievements demonstrate the next generation of aviation and bodyflight athletes rising through CFH mentorship.

The aviation vision for the Legacy Campus includes a grass strip runway, indoor skydiving wind tunnel, and aviation training facilities designed to support leadership development, STEAM education, and training for CFH teams.

National Sanctuary

The campus is designed as a sanctuary for outdoor experiential learning, leadership retreats, and community gatherings. Land stewardship, conservation, and environmental care guide the development of the property.

Nature, Healing & Land Stewardship

The Legacy Campus is built around the natural beauty of the land. Forests, open fields, and the creek running through the property create an environment where youth and families reconnect with nature, build resilience, and experience the outdoors in meaningful ways.
