During the recent City of Graham Council Meeting on Tuesday night, our hearts were overwhelmed with emotion as we witnessed an incredible display of compassion. A check for the donations raised at the 2022 9/11 Commemorative 5K Event was presented, symbolizing the collective efforts and solidarity of our community. In that moment, we realized that we were not alone in our journey.
The funds raised through the 5K event will serve a profound purpose. They will provide much-needed support for our STEM programs, designed to empower and uplift the children of fallen military personnel, first responders, foster kids, and caregivers. Through these programs, we will offer these young souls educational opportunities, guidance, and resources in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It is an investment in their future, giving them the tools they need to build successful and fulfilling lives.
