Kim's Journey to
1000 Jumps
Dear Skydiving Community,
I come to you with a heartfelt plea and a celebration of an extraordinary individual who embodies the spirit of our beloved sport. Kim Emmons-Knor D-221, a legend in our midst, has graced the skies with her presence for decades, leaving an indelible mark on our community. Her passion for skydiving knows no bounds, and her journey to reach 1,000 jumps is a testament to her unwavering dedication and love for the thrill of the freefall.
Kim's story is one of resilience, determination, and boundless enthusiasm. From her humble beginnings as a young girl captivated by the sight of a military parachute, to her historic achievements as a member of the U.S. Women's Parachute Team, Kim has inspired generations of skydivers with her courage and pioneering spirit. Her return to the skies after a 37-year hiatus is a testament to her enduring love affair with the sport and serves as a beacon of hope for all who dare to dream.
Now, at 85 years young, Kim embarks on a quest to achieve her Gold Wings with 1,000 jumps. But she cannot do it alone. As a tight-knit community bound by a shared passion for flight, it is our duty to rally around Kim and support her in this noble endeavor. Every jump she makes is a triumph of the human spirit, and every dollar donated brings her one step closer to her goal.
I urge you, my fellow skydivers, to open your hearts and wallets to support Kim on her journey. Whether it's through a donation to our fundraiser or by hosting her for a jump at your drop zone, every contribution counts. Together, let us show Kim the love and appreciation she deserves for her contributions to our community. Let us be the wind beneath her wings as she soars towards her goal.
In the spirit of camaraderie and solidarity, let us come together to help Kim Emmons-Knor achieve her lifelong dream of reaching 1,000 jumps. Together, we can make it happen.
With gratitude and admiration,
Ken Wasley, President and Founder
